Who are we?
We are Israeli believers in Messiah Yeshua (Jesus), who happen to be Orthodox Jews, continuing or choosing to live Orthodox lifestyles.
Why are we living this way?
The majority of us continue or choose to follow this lifestyle because we feel it is a highly fulfilling way to connect with God and live out our relationship with Him. We also feel our practices are required as part of our obedience to God as Jews, and that His covenant with us is still active (Deuteronomy 7:9). Furthermore, we respect our forefathers’ chain of tradition and explanations on how to live out this covenant God has given to us. We do not feel this contradicts the New Testament, but has actually enlivened and given more depth to our messianic beliefs, also causing us to more closely resemble the first community of believers.
For these reasons, there are actually many believing Jews who are returning to a more religious Jewish lifestyle in some form. Many are unaware of this trend in the lives of Jewish believers and those in Israel – an even greater reason to pray and intercede for these people who carry this special calling on their lives.
Why we need your prayers?
Being a relatively unknown, small and quiet community, we have very, very few intercessors as a whole outside of ourselves. We desperately need prayer and intercession for this small, yet slowly growing, ‘remnant’.
Why pray for us?
Many people and communities around the world need prayer – so why pray for us? Through your prayers for the Orthodox Jewish believing community, you will be helping produce spiritual fruit in the land of Israel that will overflow to the whole world. God willing, your prayers will lead to an overall, corporate increase of faithful imitation of Yeshua in this community that is needed for a more widespread display of the gospel to non-believing Orthodox Jewish communities. Our hope is that these seeds of prayer will grow into a true revival and revelation among these untouched communities that has not been seen since the time of Yeshua – (God willing in this generation!) Then Israel will, even more fully, fill its role as the light to the nations.
